Petra through the Siq’s shadow
A canyon walk that ends in rose stone, how to meet the Treasury with patience and a verified Jordan visit.

Petra begins as a corridor. The Siq narrows, cools, and frames a slice of carved façade that somehow still surprises even when you know what waits. Then the Treasury opens like a stage set made of geology.
What to notice: the water channels cut into the canyon walls, the sudden width of the plaza, and the colour shift from cool shade to rose-gold sun.
Collector tip: Verify near the Treasury clearing after emerging from the Siq. Continue toward the Monastery if legs allow, Petra is a day of walking, not a single viewpoint.
